The invention is a sorting device for separating heavy and light waste from paper pulp and is intended for use in pulp and paper industry.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design of the sorting device while ensuring the efficiency of the disposal of light waste.
Figure 1 shows the sorting device, a vertical section; Fig. 2 shows a sorting device equipped with means for injecting a diluting liquid into the lower part of the pulp sorting zone.
The sorting device comprises a vertical cylindrical sorting screen I, a rotor 2 having a closed outer sorting surface 3 with hemispherical lugs 4 and an upper end 5. The rotor is concentrically located inside the sieve, the outer surface 3 of the rotor with the inner surface 6 of the sieve forms the paper sorting zone 7. The device has a receiving chamber 8 of sorted mass surrounded by the outer surface of the sieve, an opening 9 for feeding paper pulp for sorting into the upper end of the sorting zone, connected to the lower end of the lower part of the sorting chamber waste sorting chamber 10, means 11 for separating heavy and light waste ( the lower end of the rotor, near
which accumulates waste) and a pipeline 12 inside of the rotor for removing light waste that passes through the bearing 13 of the rotor bearing, and its upper end adjoins the inner surface 14 of the end 5. The device contains means 15 for introducing dilution liquid into the lower part 7 sorting zones
neither The lower part of the rotor is equipped with
holes 16, connecting the cavity 17 of the rotor with the lower part of the sorting zone of paper pulp. In the housing 18 there is an inlet 19 for dilution water located in the chamber 10 of sorting waste. The rotor is mounted on the shaft 20. The upper part of the body is made up of a pulp supply chamber 21 for sorting.
The device works as follows.
The pulp to be sorted is fed into the device through the opening 9 and circulates tangentially in the feed chamber 21. This chamber also serves as a waste collector, where stones and other essential items are removed. From the feed chamber, the mass flows into the gap between the rotor and the sieve (from its upper end), which functions as sorting zone 7. The sorted mass flows from the sorting zone to the receiving chamber 8 of the sorted mass and is removed.
out of the device. Waste sorting, i.e. a portion of the stream that does not pass through the surface of the sieve terminates its path in the chamber 10 of the sorting waste, where it is diluted with dilution water supplied through the inlet 19, and discharged from the device. Light waste is collected inside the rotor in space at its upper end 5, from which it can be removed through conduit 12 either continuously or periodically. The light waste flows into the space 17 inside the rotor through the means 11 for separating heavy and light waste, which is the bottom end of the rotor. The high rotational speed which is typical for a given rotor leads the mass in the sorting zone, in the waste chamber and in the space inside the rotor into a state of rotation, which creates the centrifugal field necessary to separate the light waste. Dilution water can be fed into the waste chamber to control the concentration. Figure 2 shows an alternative version of the proposed device. The mass is diluted at the bottom of the sorting zone with liquid supplied through the means 15. Through the holes 16 the main part of the waste is fed into space 1-7, where the light waste is separated and flowed up into the space at the upper end 5 of the rotor, from which it is removed through conduit 12, and the remaining waste flows down into the waste chamber
The proposed device, while simplifying the design by arranging a pipeline for the disposal of light waste inside the rotor, provides for the effective removal of light waste.
